Lock Up is a British grindcore supergroup that emerged from the vibrant metal scene of Birmingham in 1998. Formed by Shane Embury (bass) of Napalm Death and Nicholas Barker (drums), the group was initially joined by guitarist Jesse Pintado. Known for their ferocious blend of death metal, grindcore, and deathgrind, Lock Up has seen a revolving lineup of notable metal musicians. Vocal duties have shifted over the years, with Peter Tägtgren, Tomas Lindberg, and Kevin Sharp all contributing their distinct styles to the band’s aggressive sound. The addition of Anton Reisenegger on guitar and Adam Jarvis on drums has further solidified the band's brutal sonic assault.
