Formed in 1992 in Sweden, the group originally consisted of Thomas Backelin (vocals, guitar), Niclas 'Pepa' Green (guitar), Anders Backelin (bass), and Micke Backelin (drums). Over the years, they have crafted a distinctive blend of melodic black metal that has resonated with fans worldwide, marked by their intricate guitar work and relentless drumming.

How to Sound Like Lord Belial

Lord Belial's sound is characterized by its dark yet melodic guitar riffs and intense, driving rhythms. The guitars often employ heavily distorted tones that create a dense, foreboding atmosphere, enhanced by the use of instruments like the Jackson Dinky Reverse and the Ibanez RGD 320 Z. The drum work by Micke Backelin provides a relentless undercurrent, using equipment such as the Istanbul Mehmet X-Metal crash cymbals to add a piercing edge to the mix. This combination of aggressive guitar tones and thunderous percussion creates a sound that is both haunting and powerful, perfectly encapsulating the essence of their genre.
