How to Sound Like Neverending White Lights
The sound of Neverending White Lights is characterized by its lush, melodic textures and ambient undertones. Daniel Victor achieves this expansive sonic palette through the use of semi-hollow and solid body electric guitars, such as the Gibson ES-335 and Fender Telecaster, which provide both warmth and clarity. The project’s music often features layered guitar tones enhanced by subtle effects, creating a sound that is dreamy yet grounded. The vocals are seamlessly woven into the instrumentation, often amplified by the use of dynamic microphones like the Shure SM58, allowing for a haunting resonance that complements the project’s introspective lyrics. This combination of ambient guitar work and evocative vocal performances crafts a captivating listening experience that is at once ethereal and deeply moving.
