New England is a power pop and arena rock group that emerged from the vibrant music scene of Boston. The band is composed of John Fannon (guitar, vocals), Jimmy Waldo (keyboards), Gary Shea (bass), and Hirsh Gardener (drums). Guided by the management of Bill Aucoin, known for his work with Kiss, New England carved out a distinctive niche with their orchestral rock sound. They gained attention with their debut album, notably the track "Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya," which showcased their melodic flair and musical depth. Despite a promising start, the band experienced a series of commercial challenges, leading to their eventual dissolution, with members later joining other projects like Alcatrazz.
