About

Osker is a punk band hailing from Los Angeles, known for their energetic blend of emo, ska punk, skate punk, melodic hardcore, and punk. Formed in 1998, this trio features Devon Williams (vocals, guitar), David Benitez (bass), and Phil Drazik (drums). Emerging from the vibrant L.A. punk scene, Osker quickly caught the attention of indie label Epitaph Records, leading to the release of their debut LP, Treatment 5. Their music channels the raw and rebellious spirit of punk, infused with introspective lyrics and catchy melodies that resonate with fans of the genre.

How to Sound Like Osker

Osker's sound is characterized by its raw, aggressive energy and melodic intensity. Their music often features driving guitar riffs and distorted tones, typically achieved with high-gain amps and overdrive pedals that push their sound into the realm of skate and punk rock. The bass lines are punchy and prominent, adding depth and a rhythmic backbone that complements the frenetic guitar work. Drums in Osker's tracks are fast-paced and hard-hitting, maintaining a relentless momentum that propels their songs forward. To capture Osker's essence, aim for tight, gritty guitar tones and a dynamic, energetic rhythm section that embodies the spirit of skate punk and melodic hardcore.
