About
Revolution Saints is a hard rock supergroup formed to showcase the vocal talents of Deen Castronovo, who also handles drums. Originally featuring Jack Blades on bass and vocals, and Doug Aldrich on guitar, the lineup has evolved, with Joel Hoekstra (guitar) and Jeff Pilson (bass) now rounding out the band. Known for their powerful blend of hard rock and arena rock, Revolution Saints emerged as a project spearheaded by Frontiers Records to highlight Castronovo's vocal prowess, blending melodic hooks with a robust, classic rock sound.
How to Sound Like Revolution Saints
Revolution Saints' sound is characterized by sharp, soaring guitar riffs and tight, rhythmic drumming, creating an explosive yet polished listening experience. Their music often features the heavy, saturated tones achieved with gear like the Marshall 2555X Silver Jubilee Reissue, which delivers a rich, harmonic drive perfect for their arena-sized sound. The band also uses the Majik Box Doug Aldrich Rocket Fuel Overdrive to craft their aggressive yet melodic guitar leads, while the strategic use of delay, as with the TC Electronic Flashback Delay, adds depth and dimension. Drumming is powerful and precise, often enhanced by dynamic cymbal work and punchy kick patterns, further underpinning their energetic, large-scale rock vibe.
