About
Hardline is a dynamic American hard rock band formed by brothers Johnny Gioeli (lead vocals) and Joey Gioeli. Originally hailing from the band Brunette, they joined forces with iconic Journey guitarist Neal Schon. The original lineup also featured accomplished musicians Todd Jensen (bass) and Deen Castronovo (drums). Known for their blend of hard rock, glam metal, and arena rock, Hardline made a powerful entry into the music scene with their debut album Double Eclipse. Over the years, the band has seen lineup changes and now includes Alessandro Del Vecchio (keyboard, backing vocals), Mario Percudani (guitars, backing vocals), Anna Portalupi (bass), and Marco Di Salvia (drums). The band continues to captivate audiences with their energetic performances and melodic rock anthems.
How to Sound Like Hardline
Hardline's sound is an exhilarating fusion of powerful, melodic rock with polished, arena-sized riffs and soaring vocals. Their music channels the gritty energy of hard rock, complemented by catchy hooks and anthemic choruses. The guitar work often showcases expansive, overdriven tones achieved through the use of Gibson Les Paul guitars, giving it a robust and commanding presence. Neal Schon's use of effects like the Dunlop Cry Baby Wah adds a dynamic edge, while the PRS Archon amplifier delivers the necessary punch and clarity for their high-octane performances. The rhythm section provides a solid, driving force that keeps the momentum alive, making Hardline's sound both exhilarating and memorable.
