Rusted Root is a dynamic rock band originating from Pittsburgh, known for their unique blend of jam band influences and world music percussion. Formed in 1990, the group's ever-evolving lineup began with Michael Glabicki (vocals, guitar), Liz Berlin (vocals, percussion), Patrick Norman (bass, vocals), and Jim Donovan (drums, percussion). Later additions included John Buynak (percussion, winds) and Jim DiSpirito (percussion). Rusted Root gained national attention with their 1994 album When I Woke, featuring hits like "Send Me on My Way" and "Ecstasy". Their music is characterized by an eclectic mix of rock, African, Middle Eastern, and Latin rhythms, creating an entrancing live experience.
