Samla Mammas Manna is a pioneering Swedish ensemble renowned for their adventurous blend of art rock, progressive rock, avant-garde, and avant-prog genres. Originating from Uppsala, Sweden, in 1969, the group initially featured Lars Hollmer (keyboards), Lars Krantz (bass), Hans Bruniusson (drums), and Henrik "Bebben" Öberg (percussion). Following Öberg's departure, guitarist Coste Apetrea joined in 1972, enriching their sound. Over the years, the band underwent several lineup changes and even adopted the moniker Zamla Mammaz Manna at one point. Despite these shifts, their core members remained committed to their experimental ethos, releasing influential albums like Måltid and Klossa Knapitatet on Silence Records.
