The Lords of the New Church Members, Gear & Sound

The Lords of the New Church was a seminal band that emerged from the post-punk and gothic rock scenes in the early 1980s. Formed by former punk icons Stiv Bators (vocals) of the Dead Boys and Brian James (guitar) of The Damned, the group also featured Dave Tregunna (bass) from Sham 69 and Nick Turner (drums) from The Barracudas. Known for their theatrical aesthetic and fusion of punk's raw energy with the darker, more melodic elements of new wave and gothic rock, The Lords of the New Church carved out a unique niche in the music world. Their sound was characterized by a blend of aggressive guitar riffs and atmospheric production, which drew fans from diverse musical backgrounds.
