It does not work.

As written in the title. Cheap, ugly and badly processed. This is my second LFV-1 and it does the same as my first: nothing. No signal gets through it. It would have been better to pay a bit more to get a "working" pedal.

Terrible amp

Sound? Bad. Quality? Not that bad, but bad. So why should someone buy this amp? The Price. Its extremely cheap. After three years it started to smoke. After that I disposed it.

My favourite

This was my first real guitar. I have got the German version (not distributed by Selmer London) of this guitar. Although the neck is a bit concave it still plays great. But with .011 Rotosounds the tone of the guitar gets quite trebly. Next time I will thy those fabled Martin MEC-12. Hopefully they will sound richer. Edit: After trying several kinds of strings I found out that the Thomastik Infeld Plectrum AC112 are the best strings for this guitar (in my opinion). They sound fuller than the Rotosounds and last more than twice as long as the Martins. So if you have got a Hofner like mine and you wonder what strings you should buy for this guitar, try those Thomastiks.

the brit ones are supposed to be inferior.... hofner's thing is bright. I have a carvin branded verithin from the early 80s and its the brightest semi-hollow on earth even with muddy carvin bucker in it. Every german hofner I play is bright, I think its just the spruce they like to use. You're lucky to have a legit, german 50s hofner, man. Embrace it.

Interesting strap

This strap is really special. It needs to be installed like this. For this reason I use it rather seldom. NOTICE: This strap is not suitable for a Höfner Ignition Violin Bass!

Do not buy this strings!

I really do hate this strings. They are very uncomfortable to play and the sound does not last long. After one week the high e-string decomposed. You want to buy good strings? Buy Rotosounds.

is it an old one? I have burnt down my fair share of the old ones in my voxes, I can't invest in them anymore, I still load up with mallard, amperex and GE pres in some of my amps though, especially the matchless where a mullard mesh plate ef86 is night and day compared to anything else in that circuit, even the coveted tele 806 that for me is too hifi for a guitar amp (I should sell mine, it tests new).... you know the old tungsrams 84s sound super similar to the teles and cost way less for a matched set

I am pretty sure that my tube was made in 1957. I think the name makes the price (like Apple).

that's fairly old for telefunken tubes these days... nice find, what do you have it in? when it fades (84s don't last as long as the big bottle power tubes), take my advice and look at the tungsrams, very similar, cheaper by 75% though the supply IS drying up on those

First this tube was in my old Operette 8 tube radio. As a tube of one of my friends Fender Blues Junior (I do not really like this amplifier) burned through I offered him my old Telefunken. But only until he has a new one. Then the tube wanders back into the tube radio (my favourite guitar amp).

Best capo!

It's the best capo I've ever had! It's really comfortable to use it. Some day I borrowed it to some guy. Forever. I had to buy a new one because he love it so much that he kept it ad infinitum.

Nice Strings

I purchased these to brighten up my Les Paul and they really worked! Even the singer commented that the tone was more 'present' than usual. The slightly rough feel to the strings took some getting used to but the increased upper-mids were great. I did notice a little more fret-wear than usual so beware if your frets are already in need of replacement!

Something else...

The Rotosound Black Nylon strings are flatwounded and covered in black nylon so it has a smooth and satin touch, plus an edgy look, very pleasant if you are not used to normal wounded e-bass strings which can blister your fingertips, this is probably a close emulation of the touch of a double bass. The most interesting aspect is the sound, placed on a e-bass it delivers a smooth sound, with slightly less gain and sustain probably due to the nylon surface, but this helps in bringing the sound closer to an acoustic bass. I'm using (and recommend) them to play Rock music.

Lovely

I bought these strings to try on my Epiphone Casino. The sound is a classic flatwound acoustic tone, rich singing mids and clear treble with a clear ringing sustain (and these are the 11s - the heavier string sets probably sound richer). I previously used D'Addario flatwounds but much prefer the more classic archtop jazz sound of the Thomastiks. The are not cheap strings of course but they are worth the extra in my view over cheaper strings and any archtop deserves good quality flatwounds to get the best possible sound. Now they are my standard strings.

Epi Dove Pro..poor fret finish but good value..

Early days yet to say how the Dove will sound in a band- but the overall build and sound excellent. Loud bright and full of tone. Set up quite well- but lowered the bridge slightly. Neck pretty straight. The biggest issue was the badly finished frets which I have now polished 3 times and they are a lot smoother now. They were not polished before packing and I don't know how the guitar passed quality control. Fretboard was dry -but a couple of coats of lemon oil has helped address that. Switched strings to my usual Martin custom lights and it's now ready to play. Plastic bridge saddle a little cheap looking and a little loose-an obvious upgrade on the cards. Electrics seem to work well and I personally like the simplicity of one tone/one volume. Nice quality tuners. A little closer to orangeburst rather than violinburst -but that will change/fade with time. Once played in solid top should only improve. So despite a few issues quite impressive value for money. Addition: A few days ago the jack become loose. Seemingly this happens quite often.
