really good, but not perfect.

kinda pricey, but i have no need to replace it.

bad things: cheap lock, only opens up 90 degrees, i sat on it when it was on it's side and i warped the cover (still works though), awkward handle placement, i wish the handle was made with a softer material.

good things: perfect case for my Gretsch g5123b, highly durable case

price could be cheaper. i'm scoring this case five stars. eventhough i have minor complaints, it's not like i'm not using the case, or refusing to use the case, or looking for a new one. it does it's job. i may get a rectangle case in the future.

I have had a number of these roadrunner cases for gibsons and fenders. They are very protective but the hardware is junk that cannot survive a short regional tour. And you are right about the handles, they are no fun to hold. Ouch!

very heavy case and the velcro sucks

this case comes with velcro. the velcro side and the glue side of the velcro sicks. buying velcro isn't too pricey and it's 1000% better.

i wanted the smallest case i could find. i specifically wanted a case, not a bag.

this case is bigger than it appears in online pics. it's also heavier than it appears. the handle can handle the weight of the case and pedal, but it's not too comfortable to hold.

the foam on the roof of the case doesn't touch any of the effect pedals, not even the crybaby 105q. so, you'd have to add more foam, if you wanted. check out my gear porn photos to see my effects in the case.

i like them brand new, but after a while... kinda dull.

i really liked them strings when they're fresh on my bass. i think it was just time for me to move up to round wound strings. the enr72 is bassier than the enr71. at the time i need a less brighter and louder sound, and these string accomplished that.

brandon_bolderoff

too brighht for me, but they're good strings

for those that can't decide between flats and rounds. or you're starting to play the bass and you want smoother strings so your finger won't hurt. half rounds can give you a cutting flat wound sound in the studio or on stage.

thick E string

i'm probably never going to try a non-balanced set of strings again. every bassist should try a balance set of strings. i had to file down the nut for the E string to fit, so you may have to too. I'd like the E and A string to have a little more tension, even though they are a major improvement from my last set. the E string is so metal.

update: im playing swing 66 rotosounds at the moment. i'm missing the thicker e string.

chord too short.

no problems with power your effect pedals. just the cable to power the mxr dc brick is too small. it's one of those power chord with a big block at the end of it, which is annoying for live/home use. positive note: when i used a 1 spot with my mxr bass octave deluxe and mxr bass fuzz deluxe, they made a terrible noise. the mxr dc brick eliminated that noise.

hissing

this amp has a hissing problem. it's only noticeable/distracting when recording with the amp. to get rid of it, you have to disconnect the tweater. tuner works great. this amp is heavy. it should have came with wheels. the handles are very strong.

the guitar center exclusive, sounds great. pro gretsch quality at an affordable price. i bought a road runner case that fits it perfectly. good ska sound

brandon_bolderoff

spaces your pedals too far apart

works great for connecting pedals that have the same housing.

bass guitar

i have no problem with these cables. they look really cool/professional too.

this fuzz does NOT effect the lowend

if you crank a fuzz and the mid and the high on your amp if off, does the fuzz make a sound? mxr bass fuzz deluxe doesn't. if your amps bass knob is the only knob on, you will NOT hear any fuzz when the pedal is engaged. mxr bass fuzz deluxe only effects the mids and high frequencies. this pedal cuts in the mix, others may say otherwise. i have no problem cutting through. the pedal sounds great with my gretsch g5123b, when i'm not getting feed back. maybe i'm cutting through because of the hollowbody's feedback? best way to describe this fuzz is stoner rock or black sabbath sounding fuzz. i come up with so many fuzz tones, and it's so easy to use. i always keep the dry knob at 12 o'clock.

best non-synthy bass octave

my settings are dry = dimed (if muddy sett to 3 o'clock) and the two other knobs at 12 o'clock and under, mid button never on. i find that this setting works in a rock/metal/punk band. great tracing. i could play every fret with no problem (your results may vary). the only octave on the market that is creamy sounding. i'll swap wahs, fuzzes, etc. but i have no need to replace the mxr bass octave deluxe. sounds great with the mxr bass fuzz deluxe.

one of the best or the best bass wah

bypass is good, it's build is great, the size could be smaller. i love that their is no foot switch. the wah works great with slap. you really have to whip your foot and fingers to get a cutting noticable sound. dirt being fed into it is always good. it does retain the lowend, probably the dryest wah out their. i forgot to mention that you can find the 105q at a good price. when it comes to wahs, unless it's optical, buy brand new. i mostly give this pedal 4 stars because it's not perfect. dunlop make more. also, works great on guitar.
