Founded in 1989 in Muro de Alcoy, Alicante, Almansa is a Spanish workshop dedicated to the production of classical and flamenco guitars. The company's luthiers were trained in the Madrid School tradition under local master craftspeople, and the shop combines that hand-built lineage with modern factory production to turn out instruments at student, conservatory and concert tiers. Every Almansa guitar is built around a Spanish Heel — the integrated neck-block joint that allows for a steeper neck angle, lower action and added structural stability.

The catalog spans full-size classical models, flamenco negras and blancas, cutaway and crossover guitars with onboard preamps, and reduced-scale instruments such as 1/2-size and cadete guitars for younger players. Numbered series — including the 400, 430 and higher Conservatory and Profesional lines — step up through solid cedar or spruce tops paired with rosewood, sapele and other tonewoods. The Profesional models sit at the top of the range and are aimed at advanced players and performers.

Almansa instruments are exported widely and stocked by classical-guitar specialists across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, where they're typically positioned as a mid-priced, all-Spanish-made alternative to bench-built luthier guitars.

Almansa has 5 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Classical & Nylon-String Guitars.
