Bag End is a professional loudspeaker manufacturer based in Illinois, founded in 1976 by Jim Wischmeyer and Henry Dunlap. The company began in a basement in Palatine before growing into a multi-line manufacturer of sound reinforcement, musical instrument, and studio monitoring systems. Its product range spans the Infrasub subwoofer line, Time-Align PA systems, GEM long-throw loudspeakers, the Neptune and Nebula series, bass and guitar cabinets, and the E-Trap active bass trap.

The brand is best known for two signature technologies. In 1981 it adopted Time-Align, a phase-coherent crossover approach developed from E.M. Long's research, which became a hallmark of its point-source designs. A decade later it introduced ELF (Extended Low Frequency) processing, a servo-controlled system that uses small, sealed enclosures to reproduce very low bass frequencies, and which influenced subwoofer design in live sound and cinema applications.

Bag End products are used in live sound, houses of worship, theaters, nightclubs, museums, and recording studios. The company also produces the E-Trap Electronic Bass Trap, an active low-frequency absorber built around patented technology from Dr. Reza Kashani, aimed at correcting room-mode problems in smaller listening environments.

Bag End has 4 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Bass Amplifier Cabinets, Effects Processors, and Guitar Amplifier Cabinets. Their gear is featured by 4 artists, with the strongest followings in Rock, Electronic, and Pop. Notable users include Prince, Illenium, and Ami Kusakari.
