Black Mountain is a guitar accessories and effects company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, founded by guitar teacher Cole McBride and named after the mountain he grew up next to. The brand is best known for reinventing the thumb pick: the Black Mountain Thumb Pick combines a traditional flatpick tip with a patented coil-spring-loaded thumb ring, allowing it to flex open and grip the thumb without the rigid fit of a conventional thumb pick.
