Bode Sound Company is an American electronic music instrument maker founded by German-born engineer Harald Bode, who operated the business out of North Tonawanda, New York from 1972 to 1986. Bode himself was a pioneering figure in electronic music whose earlier modular work at the Bode Electronics Company in the late 1950s and early 1960s helped shape the concept of the voltage-controlled modular synthesizer later popularized by Moog and Buchla.

The company is best known for a small catalog of studio-grade signal processors. The Bode Frequency Shifter, patented in 1972 and licensed to Moog Music, shifts an entire audio spectrum up or down by up to 5 kHz and became a staple of experimental and electronic composition. The Bode Vocoder Model 7702, a 16-channel analyzer/synthesizer pair sometimes called the Moog Vocoder, was manufactured and distributed through Moog beginning in 1977. Other notable designs include the Bode Ring Modulator and the Bode Barberpole Phaser, a nine-stage phaser built around Shepard-tone–style 'infinity' phasing that Bode introduced in 1981.

Bode instruments appear on recordings by artists associated with early electronic and krautrock production, including work by Wendy Carlos and Kraftwerk. Under license from the Bode estate, German manufacturer Synth-Werk produces authorized reissues of the Frequency Shifter, Ring Modulator, and Barberpole Phaser in both rack and Moog-format (5U) modular versions, keeping the original circuit designs in production.
