British Pedal Company is a UK-based effects pedal maker specialising in handwired reproductions and evolutions of the classic British fuzz and boost circuits that defined mid-1960s London session tone. Its roots lie in the Tone Bender lineage originally devised by engineer Gary Stewart Hurst and sold through Macari's Musical Exchange under the Sola Sound name. The team behind the modern operation previously developed pedals under the JMI banner before splitting off to launch British Pedal Company, building on a body of work carried forward from Differential Audio Manifestationz (D*A*M).

The catalogue is organised around period-accurate fuzzes and boosts, including MKI, MKI.5, MKII, MKIII and MKIV Tone Bender variants, alongside the Zonk Machine, the Rangemaster-style treble booster, and the PepBox. Alongside full-size enclosures in the Vintage Series, the company offers pedalboard-friendly Compact Series versions of the same circuits, plus overdrive and special-edition runs. Pedals are built by hand in England using germanium and silicon transistors selected to match historical specifications.

The brand's identity is closely tied to the sound of 1960s British rock and blues — the gritty, harmonically rich fuzz tones associated with artists such as Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Mick Ronson and Pete Townshend during that era — and its products are positioned as faithful recreations rather than reinterpretations, marketed through boutique dealers and Macari's in London.

British Pedal Company has 31 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Fuzz Effects Pedals, Boost Effects Pedals, and Overdrive Effects Pedals. Their gear is featured by 5 artists, with the strongest followings in Rock, Electronic, and Blues. Notable users include J Mascis, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Jeramy "Rainbow" Gritter. Most British Pedal Company products sit firmly in the high-end, boutique range.
