Comins Guitars is a small Philadelphia-area luthier shop founded by Bill Comins, a jazz guitarist who studied at Temple University before moving from performing to building instruments. Based in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, Comins has spent decades focused on archtop jazz guitars, handling wood selection, plate carving, and pickup voicing in-house. Handcrafted models include the 17" Classic archtop and the Concert series, alongside a nylon-string jazz model and solid-body electrics built to order.

In 2010 Comins launched the Guitar Craft Series (GCS) through a partnership with a South Korean workshop, aimed at offering semi-hollows and archtops at a more approachable price point than the custom builds. The line includes the GCS-1 semi-hollow (along with Bigsby and GCS-1ES variants) and the GCS-16 archtop series introduced in 2018. Each GCS instrument is shipped to Willow Grove for setup work before going out to dealers.

Comins's custom archtops have been featured in exhibitions and are part of the Smithsonian's Blue Guitar Collection. The shop also takes on repair and restoration work in addition to building new instruments.
