Crest Audio is a professional audio manufacturer founded in the late 1970s by Jean-Pierre Prideaux in California, specializing in power amplifiers and mixing consoles for live sound reinforcement, touring, and commercial installations. The company built its reputation on high-density, reliable touring amplifiers, starting with the P3500 and continuing with the 4001, 8001, and 8002 models, which became workhorses on concert tours and in large-venue sound systems. In 1989, Crest expanded into mixing consoles with the Gamble EX series, followed by console lines such as the Century, V12, and X-Eight used in live and broadcast applications.

The company also developed the NexSys network amplifier control system, one of the early computer-based platforms for monitoring and managing amplifier networks in large installed systems. Crest Audio was acquired by Dallas Music Industries in the 1980s and later by Peavey Electronics in 1999, and is now headquartered alongside Peavey in Meridian, Mississippi, where its products are developed as part of Peavey Commercial Audio.
