Dr. T's Music Software was a Massachusetts-based developer of music software founded in 1984 by Emile Tobenfeld. Operating during the formative years of MIDI and personal computing, the company produced tools for the Atari ST, Commodore 64/128, Amiga, IBM PC, and Macintosh, and became one of the most prolific publishers of sequencers, editor/librarians, and algorithmic composition software of the era.

Its catalog included the Keyboard Controlled Sequencer (KCS), an event-based MIDI sequencer that introduced open-ended composition structuring on the Commodore 64, along with Tiger and Tiger Cub sequencers, the Copyist Professional and Copyist Apprentice scoring programs, and a deep line of patch editor/librarians for synthesizers from Roland, Korg, Kawai, Yamaha, Ensoniq, E-mu, and Casio. The company also released algorithmic and generative composition tools such as M, Tunesmith, Fingers, and a licensed version of Laurie Spiegel's Music Mouse, and built MIDI interface hardware including the Model-A, Model-I, Model-T, and the Phantom SMPTE synchronizer.

Dr. T's developed a reputation for treating software as a creative partner rather than a digital tape recorder, with a focus on modularity, real-time interactivity, and algorithmic transformation. Active development wound down in the mid-1990s as the DAW era took shape, but the company's design ideas continue to surface in modern generative and modular music environments.
