DuKane is a long-running Illinois-based electronics manufacturer (named for the DuPage and Kane counties where it was founded) whose Medallion line of professional audio gear has become a sought-after find on the vintage market. Originally built for commercial, educational, and institutional installations — paging systems, theater sound, school A/V, and background-music distribution — the Medallion units were over-engineered with discrete transistor circuitry and transformer-balanced I/O that has since drawn the attention of recording engineers.
