E.W.S. (Engineering Work Store) is a Tokyo-based effects pedal manufacturer and modification shop, operating as a division of Prosound Communications Japan. Founded in 2006 as a repair service with the motto "Good music comes from a well-maintained instrument," the company began releasing original pedals in 2009. E.W.S. first gained recognition for its modifications of the Arion SCH-Z chorus pedal, which added true bypass switching and a chorus/vibe mode toggle, earning a devoted following among tone enthusiasts.

The company's original pedal lineup spans both guitar and bass, with products like the Brute Drive, Little Brute Drive, Fuzzy Drive, and Little Fuzzy Drive for guitarists, alongside bass-focused offerings including the Tri-Logic Bass Preamp, Bass Mid Control (BMC), and Stormy Bass Drive. E.W.S. also produced a limited-edition Brute Drive signature model in collaboration with blues guitarist Eric Gales, limited to 500 units. Guitarist Steve Stevens is among the notable players associated with the Little Brute Drive. The company also manufactures accessories such as the Subtle Volume Control, Pocket Noise Silencer, and Wah Board Special.
