A cheap and high-quality Marshall in a Box
It sounds like a Hot Rodded Marshall, not unlike an Xotic SL Drive and you'd be hard pressed to find a cheaper and tiniest pedal to do it so well. I really love the texture of the sound, which cuts very well in a mix and has a lot of dynamics and sustain. It's just perfect for solos, as well as a nice way to add some "oomph" for palm muting when used in conjunction with another drive or distortion pedal. I'm using it with a Wampler Plexi-Drive and that makes for a wonderful two-stage Marshall sound. Think JTM-45 when the LBD is disengaged and then JCM 800 when engaged. Just wonderful.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Tweaking the internal trim pots can yield great results. However, the two trim pots are very sensitive and it's easy to lose your favorite setting so proceed with caution!

Simple and effective
This is a quite nasty overdrive pedal. It does the hot rodded Marshall sound very well. I'm using it in conjunction with a Wampler Plexi-Drive, the latter being set as a sort of faux-clean and when I turn the EWS LBD on it's just like having a second channel on my amp. You may think that one knob is not enough but the way it is voiced is just perfect for me. There are two internal trim pots but I prefer to leave them as they were originally as I think I would lose some of what I really liked about this pedal in the first place. You'll definitely not play conventional metal on this but, coupled with a Big Muff, it makes the latter "chug" a bit and create some very heavy sounds. Highly recommended.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
With a mild Marshall-like overdrive placed after it, setting the knob at just 10 o'clock will create some pretty thick distortion. Also recommended in front of a Big Muff for heavier sounds that stand out in a band mix.
