INDe (Independent Drum Lab) is a Kalamazoo, Michigan–based drum maker founded in 2015 by Josh Allen, a design engineer previously known for his work on Ludwig's Atlas hardware and Signet drum lines. The company builds drums, snares, and hardware aimed at gigging drummers, with a focus on stripped-down designs that minimize shell contact points to maximize resonance and simplify tuning.

The brand is known for its Flex-Tuned maple shells, which alternate horizontal and vertical plies to produce a thin 4.7mm shell with a wide tuning range. Its catalog includes the Kalamazoo Series kits, the WaFarer nesting aluminum kits, Timba drums, and the SB1 snare strainer, along with proprietary tom mounts and brackets sold as upgrades for other drum kits. INDe sells direct from the factory alongside a network of boutique drum retailers.

Josh Allen also runs Great Lakes Drum Company, a sister brand focused on more experimental, handcrafted builds, while INDe continues to concentrate on versatile, value-oriented working drummer kits. The brand's hardware innovations and shell designs have been reviewed in publications including DRUM! Magazine and Modern Drummer.
