Kuro Custom Audio is an Italian boutique effects builder based in Livorno, founded by Giulio Favaro in 2015. Favaro began modifying and repairing guitars as a teenager before studying at the Musicians Institute's GIT program in Los Angeles, and later channeled that experience into hand-building pedals. The company operates as a small workshop producing handmade guitar and bass effects, with each unit assembled and tested individually rather than mass-produced.

The brand's catalog centers on amp-in-a-box style preamps and gain devices. The flagship T120 is a preamp voiced after a roadworn 1974 Matamp GT120, offering controls for Master, Presence, Treble, Bass, Volume, and multi-position Drive and Depth switches aimed at heavy British-style tones. The Exegol uses field-effect transistors to emulate the feel of a Sunn Model T in a pedalboard-friendly enclosure, while the PhA is a boost/overdrive/preamp designed as a flexible tone-shaper.
