MNTRA Instruments is a Montreal-based developer of virtual instruments, sample libraries, and effects geared toward film scoring, game audio, and experimental sound design. Founded by composer and sound designer Brian D'Oliveira as the audio-tools division of La Hacienda Creative, the company focuses on what it calls "animistic" instruments — deep-sampled libraries built around rare acoustic sources, world instruments, and unusual sound objects.

The company's products run on its proprietary MNDALA sampler engine and are recorded using high-resolution capture techniques that go up to 384 kHz / 32-bit.
