Tex Amps is a Toronto-based builder of hand-wired, point-to-point guitar amplifiers crafted by Antonio "Tony" Teixeira. The company's signature designs are rooted in the legendary Bell & Howell Filmosound projector-amp conversions popularized by amp tech Bernie Raunig, particularly the version favored by Canadian guitarist Colin Cripps. Teixeira has refined and productionized that template under the Tex/Teixeira name, using NOS components such as Philips mustard and paper-in-oil capacitors, silver Teflon wire, and custom-wound Heyboer transformers.

The core of the lineup is the Texosound Bernie Custom, an EL84-powered amp of around 20 watts with an EZ81 rectifier and ECC83 preamp tubes. Variants in the catalog include the compact 5-watt model, the Mini Bernie at roughly 14–15 watts, an EF86-driven 20-watt version, and a higher-headroom 30-watt build. The Colin Cripps signature Bernie has been issued in numbered runs, and Tex also builds effects pedals alongside the amps.
