The Rock Slide is an American manufacturer of guitar slides based around a design invented by guitarist Mark Morse in the late 1970s, after he modified a chrome slide to remove the pinching he experienced at his second knuckle. The design was later refined using CNC machining and CAD work in partnership with a metal manufacturing shop in Spokane, Washington, and the patented shape — featuring a knuckle cutaway, a flared finger rest, and a tapered interior for a snug fit — became the brand's signature. Danny Songhurst has owned the company since 2011, continuing the line originally built around Morse's invention.
