Founded in 2012 by Jose Manuel Martinez in Albacete, Spain, Thermion began as a technical service for vacuum tube amplifiers before evolving into a boutique manufacturer of handcrafted guitar amplifiers, pedals, and hybrid systems. The company operates under the legal entity Triode Electronic Engineering S.L. and builds all of its products by hand in its Spanish workshop, using aerospace-grade aluminum and sustainable, plastic-free packaging made entirely from recycled materials.

The Freeway Analog Interface Amplifier distills the Zero concept into an even smaller format, functioning as a DI amplifier, speaker modeler, and USB recording interface. Thermion also developed the patented SE2 (Studio Environment Emulation) system, which converts recorded pedal preamp signals into analog-digital emulations of classic amplifiers, microphones, and speaker cabinets.
