Triumph Electronics Limited was a British amplifier manufacturer founded around 1959 by Geoff Johnson and based at 118 and 122 Brighton Road in Purley, Surrey. The company began by producing and importing electronic instruments for medical and domestic use before moving into musical equipment in the early 1960s. Johnson, who had trained in radar with the Admiralty during World War II and worked in electro-physiology before entering electronics commercially, set up the firm as a small specialist contract shop.

From roughly 1962 through 1967, Triumph built amplifier chassis under contract for Vox/JMI, including runs of the AC4, AC10, AC50, and a smaller number of AC100 models, as well as the Vox 4-series and 7-series solid-state amps (UL430, UL460, UL4120, UL705, UL710, UL715, UL730, UL760, UL7120). Chassis were produced in Purley and shipped to Dartford or Erith for cabinets and final assembly. After the Vox contract ended in 1967, Triumph also assembled amps for Jennings Electronic Industries, Vamp, and Sound City, with some units sold under the house names Leo and Johnson.

In mid-1967 the company launched its own branded range of amplifiers, beginning with solid-state models and later moving to valve designs such as the PAV50, an all-valve 50W public-address amplifier from around 1970. Triumph-branded amps, electronic reed organs, microphones, and effects were distributed by Rosetti. The firm is best known among vintage-amp collectors for its work on 1960s Vox chassis rather than for its own short-lived product line.
