Today we’re looking at the ‘Synth Electribe’, more usually called Electribe 2 but sometimes referred to as EMX2 — or simply Electribe. In this review I’ll be referring to it as the Electribe 2, just to avoid confusion with earlier models.
This is the sampler model that came out slightly after the synth one, and is also often referred to as the electribe 2 sampler, though the official name doesn't have the "2"

Ambiguous because one does not have a version number, one is version 2.
That's just bad naming, Korg never called the new electribes "2", that's unofficial.
