Add a website review of an item

Hi. How does one add a website review of an item? I’ve seen such reviews (eg. linked to Premier Guitar, or Guitar, articles) on items before but can’t work out how to add them. I’d like to add a couple to the Chase Bliss Brothers AM item list from Premier Guitar and Guitar. Thanks.

The "Critic Reviews" section is one of the newer additions to item pages.

I don't think there's any way for community members like us to add more Critic Reviews... I'm 99% sure the admins setup some kind of automated service that searches for pro reviews and surfaces the findings that meet whatever criteria they've set up.

When you get a chance, go ahead and drop links to the reviews you want to add, along with a link to the Chase Bliss pedal item page here on EB you want them added to.

If you can arm me with a really compelling snapshot for why the Admins need to open up the ability for community members to add more pro reviews, I'll see what I can do to get it in front of the right people.

(but my hope is they'll feel like chiming in right here in the thread if you lay out a good case).

Thanks mate. I think one of the most compelling reasons is to keep items up to date with contemporaneous reviewing, thus lessening the burden on admins for that task. For example, I was very surprised that one of the most interesting pedal releases from two of the industry’s heavy-hitters (the Chase Bliss Audio Brothers AM https://equipboard.com/items/chase-bliss-audio-brothers-am) had no such reviews on the item, even though I’ve read three in major publications (Premier Guitar here https://www.premierguitar.com/gear/reviews/chase-bliss-brothers-am-review and Guitar here https://guitar.com/reviews/effects-pedal/the-big-review-chase-bliss-brothers-am/ and Guitar World here https://www.guitarworld.com/gear/guitar-pedals/analogman-chase-bliss-brothers-am-interview). I understand there’d need to be some kind of filter on what could be added so people are not just adding random blogs read by 5 people, but major industry publications like these could be the threshold (not too dissimilar to the retailers listed against items with sale prices etc.). This is correct. I just manually ran the service on the Chase Bliss Audio Brothers AM and it looks like it fetched 3 of them. It did miss Guitar World though, so it's def not perfect.

If you guys are telling us you feel compelled to add more Critic Reviews, you're probably not the only ones, so we'd definitely be open to letting community members do this. To your points we'd probably have an allow-list of website domains that are acceptable and qualify as "critics."
