so you WANT a blizzard of rusty nails? It'll be pretty abrasive, dude.... less so through the normal channel, but the normal channel aint much of a clean tone unless you are playing big band jazz....

Correction is in the comments. Sorry :/

Any chance you could include Sweetwater & Vintage Audio King to the current "buy on" list of Amazon & Ebay?

I'd really like Equipboard to get that chunk of change when click thru & buy & if you got locked in with Sweetwater & VAK that'd cover a lot more.

I always try to support the local & little guys whenever I can but somethings just wouldn't be possible for me w/o the huge no interest financing breaks they offer on my big purchases.

Also, am I the only one who gets an error message when trying to check notifications? It's been like that for months now for me-tablet or desktop (Mac). I get referred to "Updating our equipment...check Twitter" page.

Also, I can't seem to rearrange my board. Soon as I tediously move mics, to my mic section, tape to my analog section, plugins to my plugins section, etc. I refresh & they just seem to bounce to another random location & nothing is placed where I put it.

Is it just me?

Anyone else have this issue?

All works here. PC windows 7 , laptop windows 8 and iPhone all normal. Haven't moved gear in about a week though.

GEAR:
  • Fender MIJ Jazzmaster JM62
  • Epiphone Dot
  • Electro-Harmonix Sovtek "Green Russian" Big Muff Pi V7C

Huh, weird. Notifications stopped working for me on anything (iPad iPhone, no matter the browser-etc.) about 2 weeks after I joined...weird...

The gear moving thing stopped working about a week or 2 ago for me. It was fine until then.

G-Money and Michael,

please fix the item here: http://equipboard.com/pros/spacemen-3/vox-starstream-xii#revisions_form

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

Please and thank you. I just bumped the wrong icon but I wasn't able to change it. 1st time I added a band as well and didn't uploaded the individual members by accident. I'm outta time today but I'll try and fix that was well, or if any of you EB wizards are able to fix it? Awesome.

Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drug To.

I've noticed that the check box next to SOURCE NEEDS IMPROVEMENT and NOTES NEED IMPROVEMENT is invisible. It still works if you click in the right spot, but you cannot see it.

I am using Chrome.

Hi.

The boards forums currently have page numbers , next, prev and last at the bottom of the page. Can this happen at top as well?

In particular, the first page of IDENTIFYING THE GEAR is painful on a mobile scroll scroll scroll scroll scroll.

This little addition would be so much easier for navigating the forums.

So true!

I'd like to see the ability to have multiple sources for each item. If we already have this, I just haven't figure out how to use it.

I think it would add legitimacy to items. If we have 80 sources for Eric Claptons strat or even in the rare item cases where people aren't super sure which photo to go with, we can have all photos of the item from all angles.

Wot's...uh, the deal (no pun intended), with those submissions that don't have any source and cannot be corrected? I know that I have asked this question multiple times, but those still look really ugly.

example link?

It might be submissions made by the old equipboard account.

Look at this section, it's full of stuff he doesn't actually use. I would love to do something about it, but it seems that there isn't much to do since I can't moderate it.

Anyway, I was thinking that we should start making sometghing like timeline of artist's gear, you know, sort it out by years, and maybe put that somewhere on the artist page.

You know, sort Slash's gear out by "Use Your Illusion" era, Snakepit era etc.

Hello all.

Is there a way to include a search function for forum topics?

People may wish to enquire about something that was actually discussed years ago and rather than trying to drag themselves through 8 pages of DJ and electronic music forums, 24 pages of general forum and 22 pages of guitar forums then attempt to navigate through up to 35 pages of responses for each individual thread just trying to find out if their question has been asked before, it would make the forums a lot more intuitive if the user could search a topic in the search bar, and rather than simply include the results of the artist, gear and member databases, they could see posts containing the searched item or topic.

This would make the forums a more usable tool that would be visited and frequented by more Equipboard members.

Emailed this before I found the thread:

  1. Gear swapping. Make a "trade" category, let members make offers/contact each other about items they have for trade. I could write up better plans for this feature
  2. Add reverb links on top of amazon and ebay. Reverb.com is an awesome resource for finding prices and buying/selling instruments. I think a link to the reverb page would be cool but a full integration between equipboard's "trade" board and reverbs sale items would be awesome.
  3. Let people tag their equipment. Maybe start with a defined set of tags from the start. These could be genres (punk, latin, etc) certain types of sounds (grunge, dance, etc). The tags could be very helpful for the shopper who logs in looking for specific pedal or synth. The "explore" button could let you search tags as well. You could explore what users use to make "punk" music or check out "vintage" gear.
  4. Gear history. Sometimes I accidentally delete items by clicking the little X. There's no warning/prompt so that's a possible quick fix, but it might be cool if you could see everything you had added previously. This could be a hidden category labeled "old" or "deleted." This would require soft-deleting the items in the DB so probably a bigger project than a simple validation when you delete something.
  5. "Notes" section. Let users add a note or comment on each item or each section. This could help themselves stay organized or help others learn more about the gear and how it's used. For example, I could leave a note saying that a specific pedal sounds sweet with my passive guitar but gets too muddy when i play my active guitars through it. (This might already exist and I just haven't found it yet)
  6. Add an optional postal code to user profiles. Then we can search others locally through the "explore" option. Could get groups meeting up to try each other's gear, trade, buy/sell gear, start bands, or jam together

GEAR:
  • Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass
  • Darkglass Microtubes 900 Medusa Edition
  • Ibanez SZ720FM

Some good stuff in there.

Reverb.com is a great place to buy/sell.

Just got an OP-1 acfew weeks ago off there cuz it was sold out everywhere else (including Amazon & Ebay).

Would have clicked thru from here if that was an option.
