Why, oh why don't we have the ability to up-vote?

The forum community is too small. We know each other too well (or as well as a bunch of musicians and music lovers on this gear archive site will allow).

Not sure if this is the right place, but I found this duplicate...

http://equipboard.com/items/harmor

The one that should stay: http://equipboard.com/items/image-line-harmor

yeah, the core of music nerds who post to the forum regularly is a pool of 10 to 20 guys.... speaking of which, where all the ladies at, yo?

What? Girls can be female AND play guitar?

Very funny, Boom. Next thing you know, you;ll be saying that girls can be female AND play videogames for fun.

We men know such women are myths

boom didn't post that, I did.... you've never met my ex-wife.... she likes videogames way more than I do.... and more than holding down a job, cleaning up after herself or taking care of our son

she also followed comicbooks way further into adulthood than I did

trust me, she's female.... I have biblical knowledge of that

the singer from my best band? female, plays a fender mustang and a guild jumbo (a nice old one) as well as being an accomplished piano player.... she's not great on guitar, but I'll bet she's as good as you and if she weren't 1 inch over being a legal midget she would be a lot better, she ahs physical limitations related to tiny hands.... she too loves video games, especially old school NES games

dare I go on?

stop being a sexist

unless you were joking, but you seemed somewhat serious

Damn, son, sorry, I'm distracted.

But yes, I'm joking. Unfortunately, I've only met one real female guitarist, but she only has under half a year of practise and ONLY PLAYS CHURCH MUSIC

I'm happy for her, but there's only two other guitarists that don't always play church music, one who loves blues and some metal, the other of which used to be a serious metalhead, at least he looked the part.

Both are guys.

Also, never met a true "gamer girl" in real life. I envy you. Everyone around me is too generic...

EDIT:

you seemed somewhat serious

I get this a lot. Please excuse me.

Quick question for the mods: if you've heard of Ghost, then you know there are four nameless ghouls.

I can't really find out which one is using which, especially when using sources such as the one here.

Would it be fine to create a page dubbed "Nameless Ghoul" and dump all the gear that any of them used, or stick rigidly to their symbols?

By the way, I've noticed their symbols contain inconsistencies, one of which has disappeared and another swapped for guitarists.

Damn, son, sorry, I'm distracted.

she'll come to her senses... god expects you to play for free

don't... my ex is nuts, literally.... so moody that at her worst she can be like 2 (or 3 or 4) distinct people

but she definitely loves playstation and is very good at her favorite games (the nerdier the better... like the final fantasy series) to the point where 'gamer' is an appropriate title

no prob, sorry for hard timing you, the internet's confusing anyway... I thought you were being humorously serious because in the guitar world we certainly have a dearth of women due to the boys club nature.... and particularly in electric guitar world because of the whole techy, gear head culture...

my ex-wife tends to overplay her ideas about the sexist social programming girls receive when they are young, but I will say that young ladies are definitely not encouraged to take an interest in electronics the way boys are.... having a very young son of my own and having baby sat 2 of my uncle's 4 little girls when they were my son's age, I have come to the conclusion that this is simply because most boys take an interest in mechanical stuff at a very early age without encouragement while most little girls instantly display that nesting instinct women are stereotyped as having. Kids seem to be programmed that way, but its not an early indicator or anything, its just what they do before they are old enough to think for themselves. However it doesn't seem fair not to engage girls with this sort of stuff in school. My Jr High made everyone take shop as well as home-ec and I think that was a really good thing. All of us learned to weld as well as cook. I am good at and enjoy both activities and I still know some ladies who do too, so the world needs to get with the program if only so heterosexual male guitarists can date fellow guitarists whoa re really engaged with the guitar culture instead of bouncing between groupie types!

okay, I am getting off my soapbox

Few things to talk about:

1) http://equipboard.com/pros/ghost-b-c

This is the official artist page for Ghost, but now that I've done my research I feel the need to create new pages for the individual members. They're marked as Papa Emeritus, Earth Ghoul, Fire Ghoul, etc. Unfortunately, until we can label which band they're in, I will stay with that page.

2) The following artists need to be destroyed:

http://equipboard.com/pros/water

http://equipboard.com/pros/fire

http://equipboard.com/pros/omega

This includes the one submission made to Fire.

3) Where it says "Spot something else in this source? Submit it!", I find it strange that the source is not already filled in when you click that. Anyway to fix this?

4) http://equipboard.com/pros/ghost-b-c/orange-or100-guitar-amp-head

My mistake, wrong amp head, please destroy.

5) What's with all the submissions with no notes? I can't even edit them.

A quick joke for Jimmie

Why do we have proof that Hellen Keller was a bad driver?

Because she was a woman, ZING! lol, jk... or am I?

okay, when you post a reply on a thread, it takes you to the last page o fthe thread. When you EDIT a post, it takes you back to the first page. I would prefer that it keep you on the page you posted on.

ZING!

I'm not sure what I can do about that. Do you want me to stop editing?

What is it about people completely losing all intellectual ability to write short, simple words with simple grammatical correctness when they lay their hands on a keyboard?

What is it about people completely losing all intellectual ability to write short, simple words with simple grammatical correctness when they lay their hands on a keyboard?

Why is it some people can't think of an interesting synonym for "simple" when making forum posts? Its a mystery..... although I don't know a modifier is really needed before grammatical in this situation, not to mention the fact that the ability to write succinctly is, a priori, an intellectual ability. Perhaps better grammar (and a more pleasing sentence) would read;

"Why is it that when people put hand to computer keyboard they lose all ability to compose short, simple sentences that are grammatically correct?"

Its a forum dude! I for one am posting from a phone more than half the time. In future we should all call our publishing houses for a proofreader before posting our thoughts. No one likes an Angry Grammarian.... except when tis the guy from Philly Weekly....

Have you considered that many of EB's members do not speak English as their first language? In the words of Rex Harrison as Professor Henry Higgins "in American they haven't spoken it in years." I find that observation to be doubly true in SoCal.
