I think we all know that women are bad drivers as a rule and the exeptions to said rule are so few that in classic fashion they only prove it. Stating that fact aloud will sound sexist to only the most hardcore, Gloria Steinam cave-women. Everyone knows this! At the very least we can agree that most women cannot parallel park.

Just kidding.... or am I?

no, really, I was just kidding.

Have you considered that many of EB's members do not speak English as their first language?

Yes, I have. However, this is not just dealing with EquipBoard members, but rather English speakers (or language that uses these types of letters such as Spanish) as a whole. EquipBoard... I want to get mad, but I can't. Though I'm trusting that those who are born with English as their second language are right idiots for not having carrying elementary grammatical knowledge onto the internet.

Either way, I have no problem become internally furious at people's grammar problems because I know a good majority are too damn lazy for their own good.

I for one am posting from a phone more than half the time.

Respect... Posting on a phone is a skill.

Why is it some people can't think of an interesting synonym for "simple" when making forum posts?

It's a common word to use. Most others are too forceful... perhaps "uncomplicated"?

I am just ribbing you, Narcy!

What about 'basic?' That't a nice, basic (hardy har) word that means simple.

Huh... I guess basic never came to mind. I'll use it more often.

About the thing with foreign language users and stuff, though, this just happened.

Of course, I feel like an arse, but I don't know why. I guess that was the wrong question to ask?

Anyways, I replied with an apology, and I was about to go, but he revised the submission and reset all the grammar I fixed. It's a mess again. I want to fix it, but I don't want him to come back and restart this feud. I want to say I don't care if he's using English as a second language, but I do care if It's his first because that makes just makes him an asshat for not using basic grammar rules you learned from birth to the internet.

ya feel like an 'arse' because in the back of your mind you are remembering that no one appointed you to the post of editor-in-chief and that because you have acted as if you occupy that non-existent position you've offended another musician who was just trying to contribute to EB in his own way.... if the original post was so incomprehensible, there may have been a more tactful way of handling it.

I am sorry we don't all come up to your high standards. The reason I took a time out and rewrote your sentence last night (and trust me, I had other things on my agenda) was to show you that no one is perfect and there is always someone out there more knowledgeable or more able than yourself (although in my instance it has little to do with any actual superiority and merely stems from the difference in our age, educational level and life experience, so no sweat). Best to worry about being the best Narcist you can be and let everyone else worry about themselves.... maybe correcting the grammar in this post to suit yourself was over the top especially after saying "You may be right, but you should improve your grammar and spelling." Perhaps you could have said, "you may be right, but I am having a little trouble understanding exactly what you're getting at because of the grammar, syntax and spelling."

Now that you apologized for being high-handed just leave well enough alone with the rokit monitors. One thing I love about EB is the lack of personality conflicts and flame wars compared with sites like gearslutz. I think a lot of other people feel the same way.

Those aren't exactly high standards, but I see where you're coming from.

I will say though that it's bothering me, but I will stay away.

This has been the most disconcerting review I've ever witnessed on this site.

My sides... they hurt

Yeah, Equipboard is great.

On that subject, this needs to be deleted.

I don't know. From my limited knowledge (read zero) of fishing, this seems to be a legitimate overview of the gear used by this guy to fish. are there any official rules about non-music pros?

I'm trying to figure out how jihadijohn has 116 gear IQ. I count 100 for the picture, and four for his reviews. Anybody know where he would have gotten the other two?

His review on the ski mask got up-voted once. Strange... you only get +1 for an up-vote. That is 115 IQ, leaving one more unaccounted for.

It's a basic nuisance. EquipBoard started out as a sort of archive site, and ended as an archive site. The only difference is that it's focused entirely on musicians. It would be like posting an article on Ultimate-Guitar.com about fishing. Even the admins there have a limit to what is guitar-related and what isn't.

Personally, if I were a mod here (or administratour, whichever applies), i'd take those pages down because they have no place here.

Actually, I accounted for that up-vote (three reviews and one of them has two points (the up-voted one)), so that still leaves two unaccounted for.

I guess that falls under the jurisdiction of the site's owners/founders (not saying you're wrong though). Who I think are gcharian and michael.

I can't... I just can't

I'll put my Shun hand-forged Damascus steel santuko against that lame, stainless chef's knife any day of the week and twice on sunday! stainless is for amatures

You been busy, Tesla? Either way, good to see you active again.

Yeah narcist, wrapped up the last bit of Imagine Dragons tour in Europe which was pretty full on, decided not to come back for the last leg in Eastern Europe. Russia in January.... No thanks.... Don't know what I'm doing after New Year yet but should be a bit of time off before tours start happening next year. Yay-Equipboard. :)

Got a couple of custom guitars designed and being made by Andrew Guyton (http://www.guytonguitars.com/).

Are we still submitting stuff that needs to be deleted here or if it's marked as "needs improvement" will the Mods with delete rights be able to see it? I think you've seen some of this stuff already.

Here is some more stuff that should be gone please Mods....

Hope you have a great Christmas and New Year. :)

Yeah narcist, wrapped up the last bit of Imagine Dragons tour in Europe which was pretty full on,

Guess I haven't been around here long enough; what do you do?

Imagine Dragons? I'd like to know too. Here are couple of things that bother me. http://equipboard.com/pros/grethe-jorgen-ingmann - those two are separate. Grethe is the sister, and Jorgen is the brother, as far as I know.

http://equipboard.com/items/gibson-es335 - I'm really not sure if this should be kept. There are many more and better examples of Gibson ES-335 product on Equipboard.

http://equipboard.com/pros/eddie-van-halen/the-frankenstrat - I'm not sure if anything on this page is right, however, I'm unsure. The item person submitted is still right. But I'm not sure if that guy knows what open tunings are.

http://equipboard.com/pros/eddie-van-halen - There is no source for MXR EVH90 pedal. It would be nice if this bug would be fixed. It would allow the people to add the sources to items that don't have one (or just destroy the submission with critiques like Angelina Jolie's new movie was haha).

http://equipboard.com/pros/dave-grohl/martin-d-28 - I'm still in doubt here. Is this really Martin D-28? Not sure, but this looks to me like Martin D-35.

http://equipboard.com/pros/dave-grohl/tejava-iced-tea http://equipboard.com/pros/dave-grohl/spam-classic - It's obvious.

http://equipboard.com/pros/dave-grohl/dave-s-throne - I have no idea if this should be kept. It seems to me like a cute little idea, but if we are unmerciful with all the video games and stuff, should we delete this also?

http://equipboard.com/pros/nick-valensi-the-strokes - It is a crying shame to just look at his Equipboard. The same guitar is mentioned twice, no sources whatsoever...we need to change this!

http://equipboard.com/pros/john-mayer/#other-gear - Watches and sunglasses? I do not like these at all! Just like Eric Clapton's Equipboard. Unless they don't play badass pentatonic or lydian solos with them - I do not accept that as part of the gear.

http://equipboard.com/pros/billie-joe-armstrong/#other-gear - Orange OR120 is amp head, Converse should be deleted ASAP (massive cringe over that), BBE Supa-Charger is just a power conditioner/power supply, and Gallien-Kruger is just an amp. I see no necessary "other gear".

http://equipboard.com/pros/noel-gallagher/#other-gear - 1. WEM Dominator MKIII is just a combo amp, nothing else. 2. And why is Neumann U67 listed under studio equipment? Just a microphone. 3. Just because someone made his pedalboard reconstruction, it does not necessary mean it is right. Boss DD-7, MXR Dyna Comp, Boss TR-2, Boss HR-2, Ibanez TS808 and other pedals which show the reconstruction should be deleted immediatly.

http://equipboard.com/pros/jimmy-page 1. I'm not sure if Sonic Wave Theremin is an effect pedal, is it? 2. Hiwatt Custom 100 Jimmy Page model is an amplifier, not a studio equipment. 3. Vintage Univox 6x12 cabinets confuse me. I would not list that as amplifier, but something different like cabinets? We need more detailed categories - although I admit if sorting out the effects pedals for the pro would be the bigger mess than the one I make when I have too much free time and WiFi connection.

More Equipboard members should also add photos to the artists that don't have one. I tried as much as I could, but there are still thousands and thousands of artists that need their photo, or some basic info.

Why the heck, when I add the genre to artist, like rock, it says "genres removed", and then it lists just the genres I need?

And why do we still don't limit people. Some just have crappy submissions, and I understand that mods have shitloads of gear to check and correct. We don't need "my roomate was Jack White's guitar tech" submissions!

Oh look, my Gear IQ will reach 20,000 soon. Well, I'm proud of myself haha.

And does Equipboard have an office? I want to see the photos of how the office looks!

equipboard.com/pros/dave-grohl/dave-s-throne - I have no idea if this should be kept. It seems to me like a cute little idea, but if we are unmerciful with all the video games and stuff, should we delete this also?

No, we need to keep that. If these things aren't done too much (or not the in the right context) they give a sort of charm to Equipboard. But yeah, that chicken soup needs to go.
