If you'd like, I can make a new submission in the correct manner, and you can just delete those two old submissions.

Sure, that'll work. Thanks!

http://equipboard.com/pros/mike-kerr/ampeg-gvt52-212

My God, that was more work than was necessary.

He has a GVT amplifier, but the SVT Bass Combo is unknown. There was none in the picture, and Mike did not specify. So, until I see a picture with Mike's Ampeg bass combo, I cannot make a submission.

EDIT: http://equipboard.com/items/ampeg-svt-cabinets

This... Ampeg makes multiple models of SVT cabinets. I'm sure that the pros that use it have specified in some way what type of amp they use, but this is disagreeable.

Did anyone else just glance at the forum and notice that a couple of topics disappeared?

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

y'know, it might be a good idea to categorize the forum... even if tis just by instrument type, so the "Humbucker" thread I posted would go into guitar/bass instead of general and then that guy who posted "Old school vs new school gear for beginners" would have posted it in synthesizers (or some similar category) so that I knew what sort of rig/home-studio problems I was going to be interrogated about before I even read his original psot.

I think so too. We've held off on doing that because there wasn't a lot of forum activity. I think that's changed a bit, so here you go:

http://equipboard.com/forums/guitarists-bassists

We'll need to change the Forum link to point to a directory of forums, but for now you can get there either via that link or by clicking on "Forums" in the Forum > General breadcrumb.

neat

you guys are on the ball

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

Fantastic. It even looks clean, but hopefully, the EB / Pinterest hybrid we'll gain more activity soon enough in the forums.

Could you just capitalise the name "Benny", please?

You should probably link the word Forum at the top of the page right here:

http://equipboard.com/forums/

Rather than to the General sub-section of Forum.

http://equipboard.com/items/ernie-ball-power-slinky-strings

http://equipboard.com/items/ernie-ball-power-slinky

The first one is proper. That second one must be DESTROYED

http://equipboard.com/pros/billy-duffy/ernie-ball-power-slinky

Is this accurate? Guitar Geek isn't exactly a legitmate source, because there's no second source to back up that picture.

You can report duplicate items here: http://equipboard.com/duplicate_items/new

It seems that we can trust Guitar Geek as their source are interviews with artists and/or their techs.

GEAR:
  • Fender American Standard Telecaster
  • Vox AC30CC1 1x12 Custom Classic Combo
  • Strymon TimeLine

Guitar Geek is usually spot on with current rigs, stuff that predates the site's inception is variable.

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

The only 2 I ever looked at and knew what to look for was Dimebag Darrel and Alexi Laiho. Both of those were missing gear but the article may have just been for a certain tour as well.

They usually are for a specific tuor on guitar geek.... also, if it was an older rig, like Dime's (hes been dead ahile now) then the accuracy is maybe not so good. anything before maybe 2003? hit or miss!

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

Big pile of stuff that I think is crap:

INCREDIBLY VAGUE

http://equipboard.com/pros/slash/gibson-custom-eds-1275

http://equipboard.com/items/tony-zemaitis-jimi-hendrix-12-string

These are guitars, not "other gear"

http://equipboard.com/items/dunlop-cry-baby-dcr-2sr-rack-module?src=pim_img

Isn't this a rack effect? Kinda like this: http://equipboard.com/items/fractal-axe-fx-ii-guitar-effects-processor

So that should either go in the same category as an Axe Fx, or it's a stright up effect in a rack.

http://equipboard.com/items/dunlop-purple-tortex-slash?src=pim_name]

Almost, this goes in the pick and pick holder category

http://equipboard.com/items/gretsch-filtertron-pickups

http://equipboard.com/pros/jack-white/bigsby-b5-vibrato-kit

Pretty sure there's a category for pickups, probably called "Parts", under instrument and guitar accessories.

http://equipboard.com/pros/dave-grohl/#other-gear

This makes absolutely no sense to me. Why is there Spam Classic in Dave Grohl's gear?

http://equipboard.com/pros/dave-grohl-drums

http://equipboard.com/pros/dave-grohl

Was it necessary to keep these two apart?

http://equipboard.com/items/vintage-univox-6x12-cabinets

http://equipboard.com/items/sunn-coliseum-pa

These are amplifiers. They belong in the Amplifiers category

http://equipboard.com/items/kemper-profiler-rack-guitar-amp-system

I believe this belongs in the Power Amp category

And God knows how much more...

http://equipboard.com/pros/madeon/launchpad-stand

Someone please explain the purpose of a "Launchpad Stand".

http://equipboard.com/pros/madeon/launchpad-stand

Someone please explain the purpose of a "Launchpad Stand".

I googled it and it shows to be a slanted stand for a mini controller of sorts. Basically, they stretched for what they could add to that artist :)

"This artist uses Casters underneath all his cabinets! He also uses metal screws to hold his control plates on!"

http://equipboard.com/items/fender-stratocaster-electric-guitar

As vague as it gets...

http://equipboard.com/pros/adam-thompson/fender-american-nashville-b-bender-tele-electric-guitar

I think I said this before, but I put in a corrected submission. The above needs to be DESTROOOYED.

Quick question, can you post gear used in the studio rather than live?

http://equipboard.com/pros/toshiya/fender-bassman-amp-head

Incorrect submission, and very lazy. The photo included in the site shows a Bassman 300 Pro.

http://equipboard.com/items/line-6-pod-x3-live

Previous submitter was lazy. Needs capitalization, probably a bigger picture as well.

http://equipboard.com/items/boss-ge-10-graphic-equalizer

Needs to be categorised as an Effect.
