Identifying the gear

Duke, i've no idea. Honestly, i'e only heard the rumour. And shit, I didn't even knowthey were touring. Plus, it's at the Teragram next month. I went there to see We Were Promised Jetpacks. Headliner was some cool indie shoegaze or aomething band. Loved the venue. Forze up when I saw the Jetpacks singer. It's like seeing a damn unicorn: You don't expect it to actually exist!

I'll buy a tickey and go see them. I'm eager to take pictures!

Guys,

I'm back. I was on vacation in the south of France. Pretty awesome area. https://www.instagram.com/p/BG4OzR0CZ3T/?taken-by=alex.vulpo But I was not willing to pay 27$ for one week of Wi-Fi so I couldn't check the board.

Back to work: What are you guys seeing on this picture? Three Strats, an old Guild and two Harmony's/Silvertones I guess. The right one seems to be a Jupiter but what about the rest? https://www.instagram.com/p/9bzZNyLMWt/?taken-by=bahamasmusic

GEAR:
  • Gibson J-45
  • Blank slot

I, Narcist, declare the strat on the left to be dubbed "Pinkie". I'd love a beat-up, pink Fender. Even a strat would do!

Lex, what's the backstory of this photo?

He ("Bahamas") even named his first album "Pink Strat". The other photo shows an old beautiful Abbey I visited in France.

UFrom the comments, Pinkie was loaded eith Silvertone pickups... WUT

Hold on, I need breakfast and my computer to load up. I want to hear Bahamas. I'll help you out o identify these guitars.

"Pinkie" is a racial slur Africans use against the white people who live there. I am highly offended. You should all be fired.

EDIT: I realized the photo I used was... well... not for the site. Was of Walter Flanagan in Clerks... you know the scene.

Narcist, there already was a profile for Bahamas under his alias.

Alright before we start, please submit here. Also, it seems someone submitted Bahamas as an artists so I just moved that information to the new page. Anyways, here's the image again:

Top right, that's a Silvertone Jupiter. Seen here:

He removed all the knobs and the bridge pickup, the one in the Instagram photo is the final result.

Bottom left, I think that's Guild Aristocrat of some sort, but the Bigsby may have been an aftermarket installation (if I used the word in the right context). Here is a good photo with the guitar:

The rest are just standard Strats... still looking on the little one that's top-centre.

Yes, I realise that, but there were two fundamental mistakes with that. First, as I've seen, we try to keep artists names on here, then the band / alias. Also, the one with just Bahamas has a bad submission that needs to be deleted.

I found a Tumblr post that has his pedals and amps as well. Not sure if you want to use that, but it looks pretty legitimate.

I agree but shouldn't there be something like Afie "Bahamas" "Jurvanen. I mean, it's his stage name and he's using it for everything.

Actually, that sounds like a good idea.. Get a mod to edit the name and that should sort it out.

there's a Yamaha 50 watt solid state guy like I pointed out to you

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

Oh shit, you're right. Few things, though. It's 13 pounds heavier and is 50 watts. Probably only a few decibels higher, but none of which I can afford if I can only turn a Frontman to 2.5 while scaring the neighbours. Probably good sounding, but one which I must pass on.

You know what I don't understand? I went to Guitar Centre and I always like to use their Blues Junior. However, they always seem to be quite loud. So why is it that a 15 watt tube amp is perceived to be louder (in an already loud environment) than a 25 watt solid state in a quite environment? Because it seems I can't go anymore than 2.5-3 on a Blues Junior.

Also, this:

So, those boxes lit up with the feather... what are those? Aesthetic materials? Wierd head amp no one has ever heard of?!

Guild M-75 Aristocrat, and Harmony Newport are those missing guitars, I guess.

Yamaha G50-112...nice amp! I see Boss tuner and DM delay and Micro POG.

Harmony Newport

Funky design. Like a glorified kids' electric guitar by the look of it, or like a Hello Kitty guitar with killer tone.

and yeah, its a guild aristocrat, kinda guild's duo jet
