Line 6 POD hd500x

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has had expereince with the Line 6 Pod hd500x. I am looking into getting one but want to do a little research first. I'd be using it with my fender strat with a direct link into a fender amp. Thanks!

Actually yes! We did a best multi-effects pedal rundown and the HD500x was one of our top 5 picks. You can find the full review in that article. Hope this helps :)

GEAR:
  • Fender Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar
  • Big Ear Pedals Woodcutter
  • HeadRush FRFR Go Portable Desktop Amplifier

the POD HD sounds great apart fromthe amp which are a bit sketchy and the overdrive/distortion.fuzz which is hit or miss depending on how heavy handed you wanna be (they sound right at extreme settings)

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

Personally, I've not ever used or heard a multi-FX pedal that didn't sound like junk. I would just get the individual pedals you need or invest in a higher end rack unit for FX like a Kemper or a Fractal. I just don't have much faith in intermediat level digital effects.

I've tried out the HD500X and would love to get one but I can't really afford it. Maybe after I move next year I can afford this - I am tempted to downsize considerably.....I'm kind of curious if there's a way to emulate some of my home-made wacko pedals with it (FazzFuzz in particular).

GEAR:
  • Fender '62 Jaguar Reissue Electric Guitar
  • Hondo Paul Dean II
  • Fender Jaguar
