Under ground rock scene in the UK

S heres my fav bands from the UK underground rock scene. Some good stuff going on, one band, wolf Alice has made the middle ground now and seem stuck there. See what you think

Neither Slaves, or wolf alice are underground anymore.

Slaves are my favourite punk band, but they need a little more to them if they really want to get into my faves. I do love the rawness of it though, the diversity, and of course the lyrical genius. Where's your car Debbie anyone?

Haha, yea, not truly underground anymore but at least they haven't gone mainstream which is nice! The wolf alice album is shit though! so over produced, live they sound great though. I wish more of the punk and alt rock bands in the UK got the airtime they deserve. I was gunna see random hand at one point along with these in Southampton at the Joiners pub.

the girl from Wolf Alice is cute.... think she's single? Now that I'm divorcing I have sworn not to date another non-musician no matter how smart and beautiful she may be, but it really limits the field. I may need to start meeting girls who aren't from the USA!

I don't want this to get creepy, but you're kind of right she is alright, as is the singer from chvrches, another fairly good undergroundish English group. If everybody on equipboard bigged up your stuff you might just get some popularity, and then... You have a 12 year difference though. England does sound a lot better than over the pond, I wouldn't blame you for moving here.

Haha, how random, who knows? England is much better than the USA anyway, in my opinion as a Englishman of cause

England will only be better providing the government don't start giving the cops greater legal action when they shoot to kill. in the US it seems there is a problem with cops killing people a lot which worries me, England doesn't see many cops killing people and I don't want cops to be allowed to get away with killing innocent people here. I know in the US its abit different with people having guns and in Britain not to many people have guns but still I don't think cops should be pretected when they kill someone who is innocent! I do want to go to seattle though one day and maybe even move over to the US oneday as it is a lovely place just the cops and guys with guns scare me!

I was just kidding. Although not about dating only musicians if I ever feel bold enough to put myself back on the meat market again.

I like your country other than the monarchy. I could live there, though if I were to leave the states it would be for the south of France or northern Italy where my family comes from. You guys have notoriously bad weather and the coffee in the UK was piss weak.

Ok, the weather is a MASSIVE generalisation, as is the coffee.

Yeah the monarchy is stupid, but it fuels our economy, image, and tourist industry, and without it we'd be stuffed.

I take it back about the weather.... I am sure you have plenty of nice days, but the weather is certainly nicer where I live.... its been no colder than 50 degrees during the day so far this winter and my son had been playing outside in nothing heavier than a hoody until the temp finally dipped below 65 this week....

I will not take it back about the coffee. But man do you guys know tea!

I think you 2 Limeys are just trying to get me to move so you can borrow my guitars and voxes!

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

umm...That's a pound, the word vox was speaken

I don't want this to get creepy, but you're kind of right she is alright,

she's not as gorgeous as my ex wife, but she is not bad and she's in a band, that's extra points.... she's also not an entitled American, more points.... marrying someone who knows how beautiful she is opens you up to all sorts of problems and I will never do it again.... fairly attractive, kind and creative will do from now on

GEAR:

  • Gibson SG Standard

also plays a vox, heres your proof

a fawn vox and a tele? jeez, she's perfect

I see they have a whole handwired backline.... I even kinda like their sound, for being so much younger than I am, she seems to get what was good about 90s music

the male guitarist has awful technique, she should ditch him and get me instead LOL

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard

I enjoyed wolf alice so much that I listened to those other 3 bands.... I wills tick with wolf alice, thanks.... I am not feeling the other 3 bands AT ALL, though the wytches have some cool vintage fuzz sounds.... there are just no songs there though

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard

I did not expect Jim of all people to say LOL. You get the piss taken for using it as a THIRTEEN year old.

All this talk of women are getting to your head, do you need to go for a lie down?

I say what I want and have no fear of mockery. Taunt away, young buck. Though I really did give myself a chuckle thinking about joining a british band. What a crazy idea.

I fart in your general direction.Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries.

holy grail, Cleese as a French guard.... you are never going to stump anyone with such an obvious Python reference

"I told them we already got one, heh heh"

by the way, elderberry jam smells funny.... I bought some at a gourmet store a few years ago just to find out
