Good for starters, but then you hit a brickwall. No driver support for PT 12 (I had to use a beta version) and having stability issues. Crashes are awful setbacks.
Chord tracks are out of this world. MIDI sequencing is so well thought and mixing is a breeze.
This is an incredible mixer for all scenarios. However, I find it EXTREMELY annoying that Pioneer does not have 64 bit drivers for its soundcard. They told me to use Ableton in 32 bit version, and that sucks. I wish it had more software support.
I start all my productions basically fooling around. The repeat function is sweet, because it adds a percussive element to chords or basslines besides the usual drum sequencing. Automation is a breeze.
