Great photo! What's in that Roland case? A PG200?

@pkennethk Yes. You guessed it right. It's the original box for PG200.

damn. jealous. I didn't even know the PG200 had a case like that.

@pkennethk Well, it's just a case similar to the one DR-110 from Boss comes in. A shame they don't make these anymore because they are pretty durable and sweet. I guess I just got lucky. I bought this JX3P a week ago and it is in A+ condition, fully serviced with the original box and the PG + case and everything. I will have a lot of fun with this.

I've really enjoyed mine the past 15 years or so. It's a wonderful synth, once you forgive it for not being a Juno or a Jupiter and just let it do its thing.

@pkennethk Totally. One thing which I noticed is that one of the black keys responds poorly when struck although if a certain force is applied to that specific key it transposes/plays a sound. I assume that will be a matter of cleaning... or some contacts and it's nothing to worry about. Apart from that, it's in outstanding condition. I don't get why folks claim JX3P sounds the same as a Juno... they are very different to each other. I managed to get some nice arps, chords and ambience going quite fast... very nice timbres to be achieved and amazing sound. I think they compliment each other well with the Juno and D-50. :-)

@monochrome open her up and try cleaning the key contacts, its usually just dirt.... if not, if you're located in the northeast USA contact belltone synthworks, they're doing my prophet right now, slow but worth it to get a full overhaul.... Juno6 is next up.

@jimmarchi1 Central Europe here. Yeah it will be a matter of cleaning some dirt for sure. I want to get wooden sides made for my JX3P so I’ll take it to my guy... he knows what he’s doing.

@monochrome oh, man, you're covered for tech support in central europe.... I forget what style key contacts the jx3p has but I imagine they're still available. I'm really surprised such a clean example has an intermitent key though....that sucker is minty fresh. Then again my ju6 looks dead clean but has some small issues that rear their heads once in a blue.

@jimmarchi1 Haha yeah tech support is pretty much covered here but what I like to usually do is to contract small tech and pass the money down that stream. Although there are cases when small tech cannot service something more complex so a good servicing venue is a must at such point for sure. Pricing is night and day for sure but at a bigger venue, there is more hardware passing through so I can imagine the quality must be top-notch. She's mint yeah I was surprised as well but I am glad it will be a minor servicing thing to do so that's pretty great. Apart from that, I had no issues so far. There will be more choices coming down the line for sure I was thinking about the whole situation some days ago and I am currently quite fortunate that I am in this position to be able to further buy more gear and get all parts of the signal chain covered so I can achieve what I want musically. I don't say you need a full house stacked of gear to be creative but I have a specific vision and I like a specific sound aesthetic so it's what it is. I am very happy though. I bet we gear heads here pretty much obsessed with this whole thing one way or the other so we can positively distinguish the difference between an analog/hybrid or purely digital setup. The nonlinearity and temperament that can be achieved when you hook it all up at the moment is something I have not found elsewhere. It completely captures the whole vibe of the moment/day/current studio constellation and it's easier to jam things out. I love my Juno-6... she's a keeper. What makes the synth special IMO is her arpeggiator (also sound) which randomly/slightly and musically shifts as it traverses the ocean of patterns. Pure analog so I would not expect anything less. Sometimes I feel like all this hardware has its own soul.
