Beautiful finish on this one. I've heard of this limited P Bass series, but never understood with the "Magnificent 7" referred to.

In your opinion, does the P/J wiring compromise the bass's ability to sound like a traditional P bass? I've heard that even when the J pickup is turned completely off, the wiring for the extra pickup can alter the overall sound quality vs. traditional P bass wiring. One of these Magnificent 7 Precisions is for sale here locally, so I'm curious.

@kennethk Unfortunately I've never owned a traditional P with a rosewood fretboard so I don't know. If they differ we're speaking about very subtle differences.

Well, whether or not the P tone is 1% altered or not by the extra wiring, that finish is so perfect. I am so picky about Fender sunbursts, but THIS particular example you scored is as good as it gets, IMHO. Don't sell this one.

@pkennethk I'm picky about sunburst instruments too. Lucky for me, otherwise I'd be having even more sunburst instruments! xD
