Mesa/Boogie M6 Carbine 600 Watt Bass Head

Killer tone and power.
I purchased this amp head (the rack mount version) lightly used in 2016. The ease of use and the resulting tone is awesome. In my case I run a pretty flat EQ. I use the center "tone" control at the second detent position. Warm and punchy is how I would describe the tone. More than enough power to get the job done. I pair it up with a Mesa Powerhouse 4x10 and/or a 1x15 speaker cab. Crushing bottom end while maintaining a very musical tone. Not as much "grind" as other Mesa bass amps but enough for me. 1 preamp tube and 8 Mosfets make this a solid performer night after night. It can handle a load of 2 ohms and has a world class line out on the back of the amp. Included on the back are foot switch outputs for the 5 position tone control as well as a mute switch input. I would recommend a mute foot switch because the mute is attached to the Main volume control. Pulling out the volume switch to engage the mute can make it difficult to avoid adjusting the volume up or down. Other than that it's a fantastic bass amp that I would recommend to anyone.
