All I have to say is this thing is a jet engine.

Quality 3/4 guitar

Cheap guitar that my dad traded a guy a car ride for while moonlighting as a cabbie.

Stays in tune and fits comfortably. I painted it purple and covered it with stickers.

Terrific drumset to experiment with

I think this drumset cost my parents around $300 dollars when I was about 13, and I'm glad they bought it.

The snare drum is very versatile. The kickdrum is incredible, and the kick pedal allows me to sound like a double-kick drummer with only a single pedal (though this is also because of 10 years of experience).

The toms are...well, toms.

The only real complaint was the cymbals. But if you have your own hi-hat, this set will get the job done. Especially for minimal hip-hop & jazz.

More than the sum of its parts

Big fan of Sonic Youth/Dinosaur Jr./Nirvana/My Bloody Valentine/The Smiths. All of whom use or have used either Jazzmasters, Jaguars, or both. I rarely buy guitars but this one allowed me to kill several birds in one stone. I have a special version of the Jagmaster. Obviously, the Jagmaster is a mix of a Jaguar neck and a Jazzmaster body. But the only difference between those two guitars is the neck length. My Jagmaster comes from a special line where they used a Jazzmaster neck. So really, I have a Squier Jazzmaster, but it says Jagmaster on it for no explicable reason. This combined with the connection to 80s-90s Alt-Rock made this a must buy for me. And at 200 dollars it was worth far more than the sum of its parts. I named it "Jay" after J. Mascis, Johnny Marr, Jazzmaster, and Jaguar.

Solid, cheap bass guitar.

I've had this bass for as long as Obama's been in office. Simple, yet effective. I sanded the outer finish and paint off.

Sampler capable of much more than people think.

Most people use the SP for beats. Most probably just use it for effects. Very few know its full capabilities. Find and RCA-1/8 cable and plug your guitars in, it becomes a mega-powerful effects pedal. If you know what you're doing you can get a normal guitar to sound like a bass...
