It's a RAT for bass!!!

This distortion pedal has all the great tones I love from the early 80s RAT, but it's tuned for bass frequencies and comes with a blend knob (no loss of low end!!!). The extra gain boost switch is also a nice addition. It's also worth the mention that this pedal is touch sensitive and sits well in the mix.

ALL THAT BASS!!!

This cabinet moves a ton of air and has a great response to my Mesa/Boogie TT-800 head. The large port allows for a lot of low frequencies to come through without being boomy, and the adjustable tweeter horn is great for dialing in the highs.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Tweeter volume at around 30%

I'm feeling the happiness here. Love it. The head in questions is your TT-800, right?

Yes sir, that is correct!

This amp has it all!

Ah man, the tone, the versatility, the headroom, the portability, the rugged design...this amp is the answer to all my bass needs! The two channels work flawlessly, and both with well in the mix--I highly recommend buying the footswitch. It's really easy to get a great sound at any volume, too.

Leo Fender's last great design!

The versatility and the possible tones from this bass is fantastic. The switches and knobs are intuitive and the pickups are loud, punchy, and full without any noise. This bass is my go-to when I need that midrange bridge pickup bite that a P-Bass doesn't have.

Great for practice

I use this pedal mostly for practice--I would strum a chord that a guitar would play and then solo over it with my bass. The sound retention is great, and the fact that it's buffered bypass is ideal for having it at the end of my signal chain.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

I use the latch mode with the level at 50%.

Fantastic compressor

The build quality is top notch and the design is intuitive. I really like the 3 different types of compression I can get from just one pedal, and it's easy to get a good compressed signal. The Darkglass suite is great for fine tuning.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

I usually have the FET mode on with the ratio at 4:1, the blend and compression knobs around 1:00, and the time knob around 12:00 with all the settings in the suite at default.

The new standard

This bass has his it all: tone, feel, and looks. The modern upgrades to the bass (neck profile and finish, sculpted neck heel, new pickups) make the this bass a joy to play and more versatile than the previous incarnations. This bass sounds great in the mix and has set the standard for American-made basses. The price might be a little high for some players, but it's worth it.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

I play with the volume and tone knobs all the way up.

This is my "desert island" bass.

This bass has it all: the tone, the feel, the look, and it sits well in the mix. There's a reason why the P-Bass has been #1 for over 70 years--it just rocks!

Preferred Settings + Usage:

I play with the volume pot at 100% and the tone pot at around 60-70%.

Great bass overdrive!

I really love the tones and versatility of this overdrive--I can go from mild, overdriven boost suitable for nearly any genre to a full, always-on distortion perfect for rock and metal. The overdrive is tube-like, making it both full and touch-sensitive. It also plays well with my other pedals.

I wouldn't leave home without it!

This pedal is such an integral part of my tone, and the sound guys love it! I travel light to gigs (just my pedalboard and a bass), and the Vintage Deluxe V3 gives me all the fullness and touch-sensitivity of a tube amp in a compact platform that I can plug straight into the mixer. The sound quality is top notch, the build is rock solid, and allows me to cut through and sit well in the mix.
