The only gear that I have which I can honestly say is completely flawless

This has been my main bass for the last 15+ years. In that time, I have used it for many applications. When i first got it, I used it to play a lot of shows for about 3-4 years. These active pickups kick ass and I was able to get by on a ampeg 1x15 with a mic cable plugged straight into the FoH. Meanwhile, the two guitarists in the band had their half stacks mic'd up. I never had any issues cutting through, and I did not envy them when it was time to set up/take down our gear :)

When I went off to school, this bass hardly saw any action for about 6 years. I would still change the strings about 2-3 times a year and would clean and wax then do a set up to make sure it stayed in good shape. For the last couple of years, this bass is used only for studio recordings. And I swear to god, every year that goes by, it sounds better than it did on the day that I bought it.

It's a real comfortable bass. The active pickups really shine. I haven't felt the need to swap out the stock pickups, or any other component. The craftsmanship on this thing is excellent. Fender was not playing around when they made this.

With the deluxe, you get the really great active EQ. I can completely dial in my tone with this. Sometimes I will just bypass the EQ on my recording console. I rarely have to EQ in the box during mixdown. That's how precise and easy it is to use the active EQ on this thing. It really saves time and speeds up the production workflow.

The deluxe jazz also has a blend knob for the pickups. This thing is perfect. I tend to favor the neck pickup, but it's really nice to blend some of the bridge in to bring out the mids and get a nice growl without sacrificing any low end. If I turn the blend knob all the way towards the neck pickup, I can cut out the bridge completely, and this actually gets me REALLY close to a P bass tone.

Overall, this thing has a solid build. This bass has been with me for literally more than half of my life. All the electronic components are stock, and I've never had any issues with them. The wood has aged beautifully, and this thing only sounds better year after year. The active EQ gives me so much versatility, I don't think I will ever replace this as my main bass. I cannot express how amazing this bass is. If you're on the fence about it... just get it. It's seriously worth it. It's a pretty serious investment, but you will be set for the rest of your life.

A nice take on SSL's G bus compressor

like the classic bus compressor, with a few additions for a more modern sound and fine tuning. I really like the HPF on this.

This thing is incredible, and surprisingly easy to use. I use it for home studio recordings. I run a SPDIF cable and two mic cables into my interface. SPDIF Right gives me a mono recording of the signal with the amp effect, SPDIF left gives a mono DI track. The 2 mic cables are for a stereo track where I can record the Kemper's effects (e.g. reverb and delay). I like recording the effects separately so that I can mix it in with the mono track to my liking. It is also very easy to reamp in case you aren't happy with the tone after recording.

I never need to buy another amp again. If you want to use it live, you'll need to get a power amp and a cab to get the most out of it. I was on the fence because I was pretty happy with my amp sims (UAD, kazrog, amplitube, and TH3). This thing blows all amp sims out of the water. There has only been one amp that I haven't found a profile of (Fender Super 6). Otherwise, there are plenty of profiles for everything else I've searched for. You won't be disappointed.

This is it. The blue album in a box. Will push any amp into high gain territory, and it gives that signature weezer crunch, and it doesn't sacrifice the tone of your guitar.. I like to play it through a Fender Twin Reverb . Humbuckers on your bridge make this thing sound even better.

Very comfortable and sounds amazing

I came across an American Deluxe SSS one day at guitar center. There is a sizable chip on the body of the guitar. So it was being sold for about $700. I said shut up and and take my credit card.

I've modded it into an HSS. The great thing about these american deluxe bodies is they are routed for HSH, so you can really configure it however you like.

It's very light. Great for long hours spent recording. The neck feels small, great if you have small hands. The S1 switch is a cool feature, but I honestly never used it much. I almost always use the bridge pickups only, especially since putting some seymour Duncan SH-4s in there. Actually, after doing that, the neck and middle pickup won't work. I think I know what the problem is, but I don't care to fix it.
