Unseparable for 18 years and counting
Don't believe the bad press. This was my very first amp; it made learning guitar super enjoyable with it's intuitive and nearly endless possibilities to create new interesting sounds. In my opinion, it's still one of the best bedroom amps out there. Even after 18 years, I still use it daily, and I am really satisfied with the quality, the range of effects, and the overall features, such as the looper or the ability to connect an aux for backing tracks. Of course, this is not a stage or studio amp, but for the price, it doesn't have to be. I don't know if I would've been that creative in my writing if it wasn't for this amp.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Weirdly enough, the Maroon 5 setting with the reverb on 3 and the drive maxed sounds awesome on my Tele and Strat. For heavy stuff, I always used the Slipknot or Steakface presets with effects added as needed.

Classic JCM with a bit more to it
The natural heir to the JCM800 dynasty with more versatility and bigger extremes. This thing can take you from something like John Scofield through ZZTop right up to the likes of Entombed or Slayer. Always with that trademark Marshall texture, which isn't for everyone, probably... but it sure as hell is for me.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Setting with my old band was Presence at 8, Bass 10, Middel 4, Treble 6, Master Vol as needed but mostly 5, Gain at 18, Preamp 7 with a TS9 in front of it (and the occasional HM2). But currently I'm experimenting a lot with softer tones.

Has a spot in my heart
This is the first pedal I ever owned (I wanted to sound like Buckethead on Jordan :D ) I remember picking it out at the music store my dad's guitar player worked at. It was out of production even back then, collecting dust on a shelf somewhere in the back. But I felt really accomplished owning it - like a real musician with my 14 years of age. It stayed with me throughout. I mostly used it as a dive bomb device in my hardcore band, but the harmony function is also great. I experimented with that when I was the singer of a short-lived System of a Down cover band. Worked really well on vocals. Writing this I realise I've never tried out the Expression Input. That would be fun I believe... 16 years and still I'm not bored of this pedal. Of course it is far from perfect. Has problems picking out notes in a polyphonal context or if the tuning is too low. There surely are millions of pedals who can do more and better. But I would never replace it. Fond memories.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
With the T-Arm setting: Balance on 4, Speed on the lowest, pitching down 1 or 2 octaves for a great "dive bomb" effect without the need of a pesky tremolo lever.

I don't think I have to say anything...
I mean, if you buy it, you KNOW what you're getting. That said, I'm not a fan of the whole "turn it all up to 11" shtick. This pedal offers so much more, and combined with a Noise Gate cross-wired, you can really taming to your personal liking. I usually have the Level and Distortion at 12 - depending on the setup - the bass on full and the high around 4. Crushing, yet not overpowering. Goes well with an already high-gain amp like the Marshall JCM900. Put a TS style pedal in the loop for more shape control.

I think I robbed someone here.
Got this guitar from a co-worker for a ridiculous 250€. It quickly became my go-to. The neck is excelently shaped, glides really well, and the splittable Humbuckers provide a wide range of sounds, from thick metal sounds to singing jazz clean tones. Love this guitar
