Duff. That is all :D

This bass nails the classic Duff McKagan tone! The P/J pickup combo is very rare in basses nowadays... These basses are essentially copies of the old 80's Fender Jazz Specials from Japan, minus the pickguard and pickup selector.

This + Hotrails = AWESOME!

Mine has a hotrails, and even with the stock pickups, it sounds awesome! Nails the classic mustang tone!

BLUE!

I made my own copy of blue, it's got a JB in the bridge, and pretty much identical to Billie Joe's except mine doesn't have the stickers! I love it!

Awesome guitar, mine plays better than a Gibson in my opinion!

One of my favourite guitars! Mine is a Japanese model from 2001, and it's based off the old 70's Gibsons! It's a limited edition model that as far as I can tell, only lasted for a year.

AMAZING, BUY NOW

Best modelling amp I've ever played through! Great for anything from Fenders, Marshalls, Mesa! Couldn't reccomend this enough, as well with the tonnes of effects built in!

Awesome preamp, cleans are amazing

Awesome preamp! Cleans sound really nice, but the distorted channel isn't as good as the clean. I think it's becuase mine is from '90 and needs the tubes replaced lol :D

both channels should sound good assuming you like a fender clean and the EARLY mesa dirt sound... its more of a like it or don't thing, the studio preamp does what its designed to do. Its just dated. If it sounds weak try the retube you think you might need. Maybe take it somewhere for service too. Might need new caps by now, tough to say.

the clean channel sounds better with a designated distortion pedal, than the distortion channel.

I use this for anything Nirvana, and grungy, awesome sounding pedal!

The only thing that isn't too great is that when running it through my Mesa Boogie Preamp, there's quite a large volume drop between the clean and distorted channels when I'm playing at high volumes.

it seems like you're trying to have a late-period Kurt rig.... stay off the high gain channel of the mesa ;-) I don't think he used it.
