After years of using everything you can imagine for setups the Helix LT feels using a cheat code. It makes playing live and producing music so fun and easy. Can't imagine life without it now.
Used one back in the day and wanted to grab one again recently and it was just as good as I remember.
The unique glitchy sound of this pedal is way more interesting than the normal digitech whammy and with multiple awesome presets like having the dry and wet mixed together is extremely useful in song creation. So many unique options and in music one thing you always want is: to sound different from everyone else.
only thing is be careful about the little volume knob in the back! if that little guy gets pushed in your pedal is dead.
Got it after seeing Munky from KoRn was using it as he said it fit his A standard 7 string tuning, I use the same tuning and loved the unique wah sound in "Love and meth" so I made the purchase, after getting it I was extremely pleased with how it reacts with the down tuned 7 string guitar compared to a regular wah.
For downtuned 7 string the 10-60 set is a life saver, I do not want the strings to be super huge but these strings giving greater tension while being a reasonable size solve that problem. Long lasting and amazing quality as Dunlop is well known for.
I have owned various yamaha gear from the SPX series and even above the 990 something about the 50D's old unique charm stood out the most to me as a guitarist. If you are a guitarist looking at getting an SPX90 I would say grab this old bebe instead.
