Smol and sounds great

Sounds fantastic, handles a 5-string no problems and punches well above its weight on tone and volume. The ultimate in bass combo amp portability, I toss it into a DJ gear bag and can pretty painlessly take it anywhere.

Underrated

A great-sounding and very programmable digital drum machine in an era where people are still clamoring for analog this and analog that. Only quibble is that Korg moved the knobs on the upper right, so the existing design of Volca Decksavers doesn't fit.

Queen Regent of additive synthesis

A powerful digital synthesizer from a time when synth makers were actually pushing the envelope and doing cool things. This was the era of the FS1R, VL7m, the FIZMO. There's a lot under the hood, but it's a rewarding synthesizer to get to know, and has a great digital filter.

Bought mine for $20 before the lofi hipsters drove the prices up XD

It's dead easy to use, more than a bare bones Porta 02 but below a 424, it fits the bill nicely. Mine needs some TLC so it's a little wonky, but that's why I love using it as tape/sample fodder.

RME is love

I bought this years ago when they were new and it's never let me down, it's bus-powered, and sounds amazing. RME drivers are always on point as far as latency and quality are concerned, and this is no exception.

Bang for the buck and sound great to me

Great bass response (but not over or under represented), gentle/smooth mids, and highs that are present and accounted for. Really helped my mixes because I definitely had too much highs in them before I got these >_>

Sounds great, not great build quality

The knobs are so wiggly! They feel loose and fragile, and not great to turn at all. They're smooth and clean, just not confidence inspiring, if that makes sense. But the sounds are wonderful and so I keep it around.

An 808 Mini Me

I love it. It takes up little space, has good sounds in it, even if the sequencer is basic. I sequence it with other things. The outputs can be a little noisy, but that's about my only complaint. As far as gear with minipots goes, these are nice. I've had a lot of 2hp (the company) modules with these types of pots and they all feel awful to turn; Not on this little guy!

Must-have for MiniBrute 2/2S owners that want to go modular - minor qiubble though...

Pairs perfect with my 2S, but why did Arturia decide 5hp was needed for the power module? Why a power module at all?? I'd much rather have a switch and power input on the side. It's just wasted space. Also, they say 88hp, but I get 89hp out of mine as an FYI. It's powered all my modules and is at full capacity atm, and is generous in the number of connectors available. As a whole it's a great buy, and my only complaint is with that silly power module.

My favorite monosynth right now

Great sequencer, fun oscillators, and a patchbay make this pretty great. I love the filter. I don't use Brute Factor much tbh and don't really care for the sound. The RackBrute addon was a brilliant idea, and the MiniBrute 2/2S are excellent additions to a Eurorack setup, giving you a slew of basic module functionality, a sequencer, etc, and it all integrates flawlessly.

The best at what it does

pre-ordered as my first Elektron box and got it in 2011, and was not disappointed. I actually don't like sampling with it all that much, but prefer to mangle my existing sample library with it and use it as a central mixing station and hub to route audio between my other gear.
